There is always the main circuit breaker which is also known as the double-pole service connect. A part of the main circuit breaker are two black service wires, which are otherwise known as hot bus bars, which enter it through the sides. Current leaving the two hot wires will be converted to electric energy which will be used in the various electric appliances and bulbs. There are also neutral bus bars which are connected with the two smaller neutral wires leaving the main circuit breaker. Then the bar connects to the main electrical service neutral which returns the current to the utility grid, and the cycle continues.
Also, the neutral bus bars connected to the ground will get connected to the main electrical service panel at the main bonding point known as a jumper. Moreover, in order to control the effect of stray currents, another connection is made between the neutral wires to a rod at the ground using a copper wire.
Depending various factors, it can be prudent to make an independent connection between the neutral wire to the ground rod. Unlike with the last connection, electricity flows from the neutral wire to the ground bus.
